My fiancé and I met when I was helping my dad get anhydrous for his fields and my fiancé Kris was there to fill the tank for me. I was so embarrassed because I had a towel on my head from just getting out of the shower.  I do not believe in love at first sight but I knew there was something different about this guy and I just couldn’t figure it out.  It took two years after that before we actually started dating because we crossed paths at the town restaurant.  That’s was in December of 2012.  Family is a huge part of my life and every year we go to Panama City Beach for a family vacation. When my family went on vacation in 2013 Kris couldn’t make it because of work reasons but he promised me he would come on vacation the next year.  Then when we rang in the New Year of 2014 he kissed me and promised that within this year he would propose to me which makes ever girls heart melt.  So when it came time for our family vacation in 2014, he was extremely busy at work again and was not going to be able to make it.  I was hoping he could come but there was no way he would be able to get off work.  So while I was in Florida with my family we were halfway through our vacation just hanging out on the beach when my dad said he had to go make a sandwich for lunch while my brother-in-law went to put my nephews down for a nap.  What I didn’t know is my dad went to pick Kris up from the airport. About an hour later my dad came back down where my mom, my sisters and I were sitting.  We were talking when I got a phone call from Kris. He asked if I was sitting on the beach, which he knew already, then he proceeded to ask what the people to my left were building in the sand and me being a little taken back, asked what he was taking about.  He asked again what they were building and I looked over and realized the people were building a sand castle. I asked how he knew there were people to my left and he said turn around.  He was standing on the walkway to the beach and I just took off running at him because I was so excited he was there.  Once I got to him and hugged him, he said “I promised you last year that I would come on vacation this year and I didn’t want to break a promise and I have one more promise left to keep.” That’s when he pulled the box out of his pocket and got down on one knee and said “will you marry me?”  I couldn’t say yes fast enough! My brother-in-law recorded the whole thing off to the side so I get to keep that moment for the rest of my life.  Now I get to marry my best friend on August 29, 2015!
